A Billion $ question

Days after the tumbling giant Satyam saw some amount of stability coming in with the new board, it's time for them to finally roll out the names of the Cxo level people who will lead Satyam going forward. Reports said that they had received over 40 applications for the post of CEO out of which they have shortlisted some 3 candidates.

Let's see when will the new name be announced.

Yet Again

India does it yet again, we defeated Sri Lanka today. This is the first match of India's tour of Sri Lanka. A good performance with the Bat and and equally impressive show with the ball. Overall a good team effort to start the series on a winning note.

Yes we can....

Today people all around the world can hope for a change to happen. The change that is so very necessary. This is the first time in the history of America, a black African American person has taken control of United States. With a huge list of promises to keep and an equal number of responsibilities to address one can just hope that something will happen.

The first day first speech did set things right at the White House where Mr. Barack Obama has sworn in as the the 44th President of United States.

The trumbling giant

Till recently, the Indian IT service provider space was ruled by the top giants like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Satyam etc. The emerging frauds and crises situations in Satyam are bringing this giant under the scanners. The hidden fraud that was reviled by Raju (CEO) has taken away sleeps of many people across the globe. After the failed last attempt to show the company's ficticious assets worth 5,000 cr by buying a stake in his sons company Martya, Raju was left with no choice but to revil the truth. To add up to the problems the global economic crices and the slow down will only worsen the situation for Satyam. Over 50,000 employees are just waiting for this dram to get over and let life return to normal at the work places. A hope of a takeover or a merger can only save this sinking vessel. The liquidity crunch that is a major problem with many other giants is only delaying their thoughts to consider a M&A option for Satyam.

Not so familiar in Goa

Christmas followed by the New year's eve which calls for some of the best celebrations in Goa is going to experience some unusual sights across the beaches, shopping places and other public places around Goa. Courtesy the terror attacks in Mumbai followed by some intelligence reports of a possible terror strike in Goa there are more police and defense personals patrolling the goan land.

Last week when I was in Goa, I was pretty much amazed at the entire view at the beaches. Many armed defense personals were all around. There were barrakes all over the roads, with small bunker kind of place that was made. I would not be surprised if I come to know that some police were roaming on the beaches as civilians just to avoide any un wanted scenarios.

The new way to travel

One of the best roads on which you can travel in India is the Mumbai - Pune Expressway. A vast stretch of road spanning about 100+ KM is an excellent drive for any one.
